Simple Glitter Valentine

Ages 3 & up

Supplies Needed:

Glitter
Valentine1

Begin by tracing the interior shape of the doillie onto colored paper. This can be done by laying the doillie over the paper and then marking in between the shapes as shown here.

Cut out and glue the shape onto the doillie as shown here.

Use pencil to lightly draw the words or designs that you wish to be in glitter. Outline them in glue. Glue-All works best since it is not as watery.

If working with young kiddos, allow them to draw with the glue instead of doing pencil first.

Sprinkle the glitter onto the glue. Be sure that the whole paper is on a tray or plate to help with the glitter mess. Think about using multiple glitter colors.

Lightly shake the paper over the tray or plate to remove extra glitter.

If working with little kiddos, consider working inside of a shallow box (like a flat from canned goods). This will help control the mess.
