Painted Lace Valentine

Lay the doillie or lace over one sheet of paper.

Gather up all supplies and cover work space.

Using slightly diluted (watered down) paint and a flat ended paintbrush, paint over the doillie as shown.

Pick up and reposition the doillie several time to create an interesting design. Allow paper to dry. Repeat these steps on the second colored paper.

Choose one color of paper to be your card and one to cut into letters. You can sketch the letters out or cut them free hand.

Glue the letters in place. If you choose, use the marker to help the letters stand out on the card.
