Tissue Paper Flowers
Ages 4 & up
Supplies Needed:
- Tissue Paper
- Scissors
- Adult Supervision
- Pipe Cleaners
Cut a number of pieces of tissue paper into a square. The larger the square, the larger the flower will be. |
| Begin to accordian fold the papers all together. The folds should be around 1/2 to 1 inch apart. |
Fold the entire paper (see image on left). |
Fold the accordian paper in half (see image on right). |
Twist the pipe cleaner around the paper to hold the folds in place. |
Cut a curve or a point on each end of the folded paper. This is an optional step. It will give the flower the look of petals. |
Open the folded paper out (see image on left). |
Pull up the first sheet of tissue paper. Pull very carefully since tissue paper tears easily. Especially remind kids of this. |
Pull up each layer of paper until you have fluffed the entire flower. |
